This year's National Championships were a great success, with footbaggers from across Australia and abroad coming together to celebrate the sport and perform at their best. We had the opportunity to perform on stage at the Royal Easter Show to 150+ people and everyone played well!

So its been waaaaay too long since we updated but here's a quick one for you. The Australian National Footbag Championships for 2009 will be hosted by the Sydney crew and is across the weekend of the 17th-19th April. The major competition day will be on the Saturday, hosted by the Royal Easter Show. We'll be on a stage with a capacity of around 500 people, and the show itself attracts thousands of visitors every day so its a great opportunity for players to show what they're made of, and for footbag to get some great exposure. In the July issue of Inside Sport magazine, you can find a double page article on Australian footbag, featuring Dan Ednie, Alex Urano and Andrew McIntosh of VIC, Dyalan Govender of NSW and Caroline Birch of ACT. The article features some great photography and interviews with the above players about footbag, their experiences with the sport, and various other aspects.
